Adobe Photoshop is a very powerful visual imaging communication tool. It is used by designers and illustrators for making graphics, enhancing scanned photos, just letting your creativeness show. It has special effects for example sharpening scanned photos, making tiles, rendering clouds, and many more with the usual crop, text, brush tool.

All the images you see on my website are Photoshop based. Photoshop is a bit-map program which means if you look really closely at a picture in Photoshop you can tiny pixels or dots that make up the picture. You can do many things with the program but I strongly suggest you also have some type of program or filters that give you something to work with because you need a graphic to begin for example when you want to blend two pictures together you need those two pictures (obviously). It comes with a few low-resolution images to start you out.

There are many features like layers, drag-and-drop, sponge tool, gradients, inverting pictures which takes time to master. Some take more time to learn than others depending on your ability to understand what each does. For me it took the longest time to figure out how to make layers.

If you have a picture and want to touch it up, you can use the layers options to make the photo darker or adjust the brightness/contrast to bring out the colors. If you want to change the color you can use the color balance to choose a color or variations to view your color changes.

If you really want to make images, collages, twirl a flower, this program can do all that but if you are not going to use it a lot just once or twice then you are not getting your money's worth. There are so many details to photoshop and you can take it to whatever extent you want. There are just so many words you can explain it with. In the beginning I didn't know what to learn first but I think that everyone should take the features bit by bit to understand their functions.In all, if you are willing to spend 500+ dollars for this program it is worth all your money.
